About the meeting of the Accreditation Council of the IKCA

A regular meeting of the Accreditation Council of the IKCA was held on 17 June 2025. In accordance with the Regulations on the Accreditation Council (p. 3.7), the term of office of Accreditation Council members is three years, and they can be re-elected for a new term. Therefore, some members of the Council were re-elected for a new term. Certain members of the Council were thanked on behalf of the IKCA management for many years of fruitful work in the Council: Asangazy Orazkul Asangazykyzyzy, Alseitova Menzhamal Dyusembayevna, Tazhibay Bakytzhan Arynuly, Ospanova Dinara Toleuvna. The updated composition of the Council included: Talgat Turlybekovich Zhunusov - deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Committee on Social and Cultural Development and Science, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Engineering Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (recommended by the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan); Zhanna Amantayevna Kalmataeva - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Non-profit joint-stock company NAO “Kazakh National Medical University named after S. Asfendiyarov», Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor (recommended by the Rectorate of the University); Aigul Bitimbaevna Zhunusova - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Medical University of Astana, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor (recommended by the Rectorate of the University); Zhunusova Aigul Bitimbaevna - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Astana Medical University, Candidate of Medical Sciences (recommended by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan); Baltabaev Bolat Zhanbekuly - doctoral student of the educational programme ’Management" of the International University of Astana (recommended by the Rectorate of the University).
The selection, discussion and approval of the updated composition of the Council was carried out by an independent Working Group of the IKCA.

In the course of the Council meeting, after a detailed study of self-assessment reports and reports of external expert groups by the members of the Accreditation Council, hearing and discussing the presentations of these reports, the heads of external expert groups made decisions on accreditation of the following educational programmes:

1. Institution «Peoples' Friendship University named after Academician A. Kuatbekov» (specialised accreditation of 8 programmes);
2. Private Institution “Shymkent University” (specialized accreditation of 1 programme). 3;
3. Non-profit joint stock company “Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov» (specialized accreditation of 25 programmes);
4. “Central Asian Innovation University” LLP (specialized accreditation of 3 programmes);
5. Non-commercial joint stock company “Atyrau University named after H. Dosmukhamedov” (specialized accreditation of 32 programmes);
6. Non-profit joint-stock company “Arkalyk Pedagogical University named after I. Altynsarin” (specialised accreditation of 3 programmes);
7. Institutional accreditation of the Branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Russian Chemical-Technological University named after D.I. Mendeleev” in Taraz city;
8. Institutional accreditation of “Alan International School» LLP
