QAF 2023 explored QA policies and practices that support new forms of internationalization. Participants examined how quality assurance can meet emerging needs and challenges in the sector, including questions about how QA can promote long-term sustainability in transnational mobility and cooperation, the relevance of ESG and other European tools for the future, and how the European framework can connect and compare with quality assurance outside the EHEA.
The forum provided an opportunity to discuss quality assurance innovations that meet the different priorities of stakeholders involved in the internationalization of higher education and ways to internationalize quality assurance itself. Among the participants was Begaly Khalmuratov, the Managing Director of the Independent Kazakhstani Center of Accreditation (IKCA), who actively participated in the discussions and sessions.
