A training seminar in Bishkek

On August 26-27, 2024, a training seminar for external experts on the topic was held in Bishkek NI "Independent Kazakhstani Center of Accreditation" (hereinafter - IKCA): "Organization and conduct of institutional and program accreditations in educational organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic." The purpose of the seminar is to train independent experts of the IKCA to participate in the procedures for institutional and program accreditations of all levels of education. The seminar was attended by representatives of educational organizations of higher and postgraduate vocational education; primary, secondary vocational education; primary, basic and secondary general education, preschool education. The moderator of the seminar is the head of the IKCA branch in the Kyrgyz Republic, Imanalieva Elmira Sansyzbaevna. At the opening of the seminar, the director of the IKCA, Khalmuratov Begaly Orazalievich, made a welcoming speech. In his speech, he spoke about the activities of the IKCA, achievements and prospects. The seminar was attended by Stefan Dyrka, an international member of the IKCA Accreditation Council, Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Upper Silesian University of Economics named after V. Korfantego, Katowice, Poland. In his speech, he spoke about the work of the IKCA Accreditation Council and the specifics of the experts' activities. The representative of the IKCA in the Kyrgyz Republic, Abdurekhmenova Asylkul Baryktobasovna, announced new provisions and requirements for the accreditation procedure, wished all experts successful, fruitful work. The work of the plenary part, as well as the sections, was continued by the speaker of the seminar, Director of the Department of Methodology, Monitoring and Quality Assurance Syzdykov Yerke Kaliakbarovich, as well as the head of the department Orazalieva Assel Begalyzy. The following issues are considered:

  • Regulatory and legal support of the institutional and program accreditation procedure;
  • The procedure for conducting an external assessment of educational organizations and educational programs;
  • Responsibilities of the head and members of the external expert group;
  • Application of standards for institutional and programmatic accreditation;
  • Analysis of compliance with the standards criteria;
  • Formation of a report on the results of accreditation. During the seminar, a meaningful, active exchange of views and discussion of issues took place. As a result, certificates were issued to the participants of the seminar.
